Andrew may look younger, and he might be, but don’t let that fool you! He’s an absolute junkie for classic rock and heavy metal! Having grown up playing the age-old game of “Quick, who’s this?” with his dad while listening to the radio, he quickly developed a love for the likes of Van Halen, Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Billy Joel, Foreigner, Genesis, Guns ’N’ Roses, Iron Maiden and too many more to list here! An old-school rocker at heart, Andrew has a mile-long track record of live-show-attendance, including many of the artists just listed! When he’s not working, you can usually find Andrew with his nose buried in a sci-fi/fantasy novel, with his hands wrapped around a video game controller, rooting on the Arizona Wildcats, Vegas Golden Knights, and the Tucson Roadrunners, or throwing down at a concert! A Tucson-native, Andrew attended the University of Arizona, where a friendly freshman-orientation volunteer complimented his shirt (a black concert tee, of course) and told him to join KAMP Student Radio — the student-run radio station at the UA — igniting his love for broadcasting. After graduation, Andrew joined the 96.1 KLPX staff as a promotions team member before whining so much that Larry Mac finally let him get on-air! The rest is history!
