This immersive, family-friendly exhibit showcases handcrafted kinetic sculptures by acclaimed metal artist Joseph Lee Benedict, who brings Arizona’s vibrant desert wildlife to life through large-scale, human-powered sculptures. With working gears and hand cranks, visitors of all ages can interact with pieces like Majestic the butterfly, Juniper the dragonfly, and other desert creatures—each designed to inspire wonder, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
The exhibit will remain on display at the Tucson Botanical Gardens through June 2025, possibly longer, offering a truly unique experience in the heart of the Sonoran Desert.
